Taylor Vinters’ CEO takes up the newly created post of Non-Executive Chairman to allow Mobas to unlock its potential in an evolving marketplace.
Mobas, the leading Cambridge-based strategic marketing agency, has appointed Matt Meyer as non-executive Chairman.
Meyer’s appointment follows the recent rebrand of Mobas, which saw the agency refine its strategy with a clear plan for continued growth. Mobas, an independent agency, has four specialist offerings across PR and Social Media, Design, Brand Strategy and Digital.
As Chairman, Meyer will work with Mobas’ executive and management teams, led by Mobas founder Robin Bryant and Joint Managing Director Peter Chaloner.
Meyer is a well-respected lawyer, entrepreneur and trained executive coach. Meyer is the Chief Executive of Taylor Vinters, a full service international law firm, which specialises in supporting innovative businesses in the UK and Singapore. He was part of the management team that won the Managing Partners Forum award for ‘Best Strategic Leadership in a European Professional Services Firm’.
Robin Bryant said: “We are hugely delighted to announce that Matt will be joining Mobas. Matt’s wide business experience across multiple sectors and vast commercial expertise will help us unlock the potential for the agencies strategic growth.”
Bryant continued: “Matt has vast experience helping businesses like ours flourish and we are keen to use his guidance to ensure we are able to continue to grow and develop. To add to this, Matt has been a client of Mobas for more than eight years. He knows the business and what we offer and interacts in many industry sectors, giving him a broad understanding of what the desire for strategic offering is for our target markets.”
Commenting on his new appointment, Matt Meyer said: “The Mobas board has been very successful at delivering growth and delivering high-quality campaigns for clients for many years and has developed a strong reputation regionally and nationally. The world of marketing is changing at a frantic pace and I look forward to working with the Mobas team to position the agency in the best possible way to capitalise on this changing landscape, unlock their full potential and deliver on their new strategy.”
Mobas, which was founded in 2003, has earned a reputation for delivering high quality campaigns for clients and has received industry recognition, winning multiple awards from The Drum, RAR Awards and the CIPR – the most recent being shortlisted for ‘Strategic agency of the year’. The agency supports clients operating in multiple sectors including high-profile clients and brands such as Accor Hotels (Mercure, Novotel, Pullman, Sofitel Hotels), ACE, The Cambridge Building Society, Compare the Market, Countryside Properties, Europcar, Festool, Fuji Film, Geodesys, Greene King, Marmalade, MSD Animal Health, NHS Blood and Transplant, PEM, Play Fusion, Reynaers, Taylor Vinters, Tees Law, University of Cambridge, Vindis, Volvo and Whirlpool.
